Nanaimo Auto Repair

Ron and his staff were fantastic - they got us out of a jam on very short notice late on a Friday afternoon. We had traveled on the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo in our small RV, on our way up-island knowing we had a problem with either a wheel or brakes. Ron diagnosed that one wheel was about to come off as the lugs were loose and one was missing. As a replacement lug was not available in Nanaimo, Ron brilliantly jury-rigged a replacement and had us on our way in about an hour. As part of the shop's normal procedure, the hood was opened and the fluids checked, as well as the tire pressures checked. Great service! We were impressed with the shop, which was clean and bright with everything in its place. We highly recommend Mid-Island Automotive for regular maintenance and repairs. We live in Victoria. If we lived in Nanaimo our go-to would be Ron, his staff a his shop.

Thanks to Ron and his staff, my vehicle is now running sweetly, safe and reliable - in fact better than ever. Thanks It had been returned to me in the opposite condition from a totally inept, (or downright careless) dealership mechanic. From now on Mid Island Auto is my choice. Definitely 5 stars!!

Super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful!

My car broke down while I was visiting the Island and the team at Mid Island Auto helped me diagnose the issue and worked with me to price out my options. When it ultimately didn’t make sense to repair the car (old car with engine trouble) they held it for me and helped with the handoff to a tow truck when I couldn’t be there in person. I basically brought in a car that was heading to the scrap yard, but they were super helpful, thorough and had great communication throughout an unfortunate situation. If I was living in Nanaimo I’d be back for sure!
